Science (Chemistry) Teacher – Secondary School in Stockport
Position: Science Teacher – Specialism in Chemistry
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity
Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (MPS1 – UPS3, dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Stockport to recruit a dynamic Chemistry Teacher to join their Science department from September. The school is committed to delivering outstanding Science education and is looking for a subject specialist who can bring Chemistry to life in the classroom.
Role Overview:

Teach Chemistry to GCSE level and general science to Key Stage 3.

Deliver lessons that are engaging, practical, and academically rigorous.

Use data effectively to track progress and plan interventions where needed.

Foster a love of learning and enquiry in a supportive classroom environment.

Participate in curriculum planning, CPD, and wider school activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Holds QTS and has a strong academic background in Chemistry.

Experience teaching Chemistry at KS4 and science at KS3.

Effective classroom management and differentiation strategies.
-
Enthusiastic about making science accessible and enjoyable for all learners.

Willing to contribute to extracurricular STEM and enrichment activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
