Teacher of Science needed for "Good" School in Southsea!

This partner School is an oversubscribed mixed Secondary School based in an attractive area Portsmouth. The School commits itself to a supportive environment for Students and Staff, and sets high expectations for all.

The School are looking for a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher, NQTs and experienced practitioners both encouraged to apply. Staff and Students enjoy life at this School, it is a positive environment based on hard work and respect. The Science Department consistently performs well, and you will make a positive contribution to the ongoing success of the Department. The School look to grow with their Staff and opportunities for promotion will follow positive results and outcomes.

The School is a large Secondary with state of the art facilities, and a growing Sixth Form, offering you the opportunity to teach up to KS5 if you so desire.

Person Specification, you should be/have:

  • Fully Qualified Science Teacher, with UK QTS or Overseas equivalent
  • Able to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to KS4, and your Specialism to KS5
  • Proven track record of raising attainment
  • Able to inspire colleagues and students alike
  • Passionate about the Sciences, and the role they have in Modern Society
  • Innovative, and a creative problem solver
  • Should be familiar with best practise in Science
  • Able to enthuse and support attainment in Students, from a variety of backgrounds and at all ability levels
