Science Teacher

We are currently working with a reputable secondary school in Rochdale who are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team for the upcoming academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive school environment, where you can make a real difference in students' educational journeys.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons in all three core scientific disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will have the chance to inspire students, encourage critical thinking, and create a passion for science that will stay with them throughout their lives.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4

Provide support and feedback to students to encourage academic and personal growth

Foster an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can thrive

Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching
-
Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure a consistent approach to student development

Participate in school-wide activities and professional development initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Hold a relevant Science degree and teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
-
Have a genuine passion for teaching Science and inspiring students
-
Be experienced in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (NQT applications are also welcome)
-
Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills
-
Be proactive, adaptable, and able to work well within a team

Have an understanding of the UK national curriculum and assessment practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
