Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit  Science Teachers for a secondary school in Northamptonshire!  


Teacher of Science – Full Time or Part Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + £2,000 Recruitment Bonus
Start Date: September 2025


Job Overview:
Teaching Personnel is working on behalf of a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Northamptonshire to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Teacher of Science to join their dedicated and high-achieving Science department from September 2025. This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, and a £2,000 recruitment bonus is available for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a department that consistently delivers excellent outcomes and plays a central role in the school’s continued academic success. A specialism in Chemistry is desirable, but applications from teachers with any Science specialism will be considered.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Contribute to ongoing curriculum development to keep learning innovative and challenging
  • Inspire students to think critically and develop a lifelong interest in the world of science
  • Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment, focused on progress and achievement
  • Collaborate with a committed and experienced team to share best practice and resources
  • Actively participate in professional development and faculty-wide CPD programmes

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A specialism in Chemistry (preferred) or another Science discipline
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • A passion for Science education and evidence-based teaching
  • Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • A collaborative, positive, and proactive approach to teaching
