Secondary Science Teacher
Location: Cardiff
Start Date: September 2025 – July 2026
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (Full Academic Year)
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists? A vibrant and welcoming secondary school in Cardiff is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team for the 2025–2026 academic year.
About the Role:
We are looking for a committed educator to deliver engaging and accessible lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the National Curriculum.
✅ What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that spark curiosity and excitement in the classroom.
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, supporting them to reach their full potential.
- Create a positive learning environment and manage behaviour confidently.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school development and student success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and raising student achievement.
- Passionate about science education and able to inspire young minds.
- Registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one – we can support with this process).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
