Teacher of Science – Maternity Cover (Full-Time)
A well-established school on the outskirts of Bournemouth, known for its strong community ethos and student-centred approach, is looking for a Teacher of Science to join the department from October 2025 on a maternity cover contract.
What the role involves:

Teaching KS3 and KS4 Science, with the option to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Planning engaging lessons that make complex concepts accessible.

Supporting students of varying ability levels, including SEN and high achievers.

Contributing to extra-curricular STEM opportunities.
The ideal candidate will:

Be a qualified teacher with a Science specialism.
-
Have a track record (or potential) of securing strong student outcomes.
-
Be enthusiastic about science and innovative in teaching practice.

Enjoy working as part of a cohesive and supportive team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
