On behalf of our client secondary school based in Bournemouth, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and highly motivated General Science Teacher.

This is a full-time permanent position starting from January 2024.

You will be able to plan and deliver interesting and stimulating lessons for KS3 & KS4 students, setting a level of challenge for all abilities.

The school are open to an unqualified teacher who has extensive knowledge of the science curriculum and has a proven track record teaching the subject to students up to GCSE.

Requirements of the role:

  • The ability to motivate pupils to achieve excellent examination results
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Shares best practice and consistently strives for excellence from their students
  • Is reflective and passionate about their own CPD and able to positively contribute towards inset days and supporting teaching and learning in the department
  • A clear passion for the subject and has expert subject knowledge
  • Implementing consistent behaviour management policies, making expectations for students as clear as possible
  • Can deliver inspiring and engaging lessons to encourage pupils to reach their full potential in the subject
  • Setting clear and concise learning objectives/goals, both in the short and long term

The purpose of this role is to provide a thorough and tailored approach to teaching Science within a Secondary classroom. The successful candidate will provide an excellent and enthusiastic approach to the job role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
