A small mixed comprehensive secondary school located within in the area of Bolton have an upcoming requirement for a part-time (0.8) Science teacher to join their school in September 2019. This position is initially offered for two terms until April 2020, but could result in securing a permanent position following this. .

It is essential that the appointed 0.8 Science teacher can successfully reinforce positive classroom management strategies, and implement the values of the school during each lesson.

"Due to departmental restructure, we have an upcoming gap within the Science department. The position will incorporate the teaching of both KS3 and GCSE, and the appointed Science teacher will be expected to partake in full departmental responsibilities. We are open to accepting applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers for this position and Chemistry, Biology and Physics specialists are urged to apply." - Head Teacher

The school has a small population with slightly over 700 pupils currently on roll. Ofsted inspections have praised the school consistently for their inclusivity and diversity, along with the provisions that are in place to support students of all abilities. The incoming Science teacher will work from a 0.8 timetable and be responsible for planning and marking.

Our client secondary school is located near to the Farnworth region of Bolton and can be accessed via public transportation links from Bury, Wigan and Leigh. For drivers, the school is accessible via the M61 and A580 (East Lancashire Road).
