About the school:
Work at a well-established and vibrant school located in Birmingham, committed to fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team and teach A-Level and AS-Level students from Easter 2025.
The Role:
As a Science Teacher at our school, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to A-Level and AS-Level students. You will work with motivated learners, preparing them for exams and guiding them through their scientific studies in a dynamic, interactive classroom setting. Your duties will include planning lessons, assessing student progress, and providing support to students in their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach A-Level and AS-Level Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage student engagement and foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department meetings.
- Support students' well-being and academic development.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field).
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching A-Level and AS-Level Science (desirable, but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for Science and the ability to inspire students.
- Commitment to the school's ethos and values.
