Chemistry Teacher
Location: B32, Birmingham
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)
Salary: MPS/UPS, depending on experience

About Us:
Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a vibrant secondary school in the heart of B32, committed to delivering excellent science education and nurturing students’ love for Chemistry. Our dedicated science department values innovation, practical learning, and high academic standards.

The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Chemistry Teacher to join our team. You will teach KS3 and KS4 Chemistry, preparing students for their GCSEs and helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular science activities.

  • Support students’ academic and personal development.

  • Work collaboratively within the science department and wider school community.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Chemistry or Science.

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Chemistry.

  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to motivate students.

  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
