We’re working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school on the East side of Birmingham that is seeking a high-calibre Science teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is more than just a teaching role. The school is actively looking for someone who can contribute strategically to the development of the Science department, and there is potential for progression into a leadership role, such as Head of Department, in the near future for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential)

• Inspire, challenge and support pupils of all abilities to achieve their potential

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

• Monitor and assess student progress, implementing interventions where needed

• Lead by example in your teaching practice and departmental collaboration

• Support wider school initiatives, enrichment, and whole-school improvement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• A strong academic background in Science with specialist knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

• A minimum of 3 years' experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools

• Evidence of excellent outcomes and student progress

• Experience mentoring colleagues or contributing to departmental leadership (desirable)

• A clear ambition to progress in your career, with a vision for raising standards across the department
