Job description

Job Title: Science Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £162 - £251 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress
  • Create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Science or related field

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is preferred

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Experience in planning and delivering lessons
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education or Science-related field
  • Additional teaching certifications or specialisations

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time contract position
  • Working hours may vary
  • Classroom-based teaching with some administrative duties
  • Interaction with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
