School Support Worker

Teaching Personnel work closely with a number of Special Educational Needs schools, and are looking to recruit a number of school based support workers to assist the students with severe, profound and multiple needs.
You will work during schools hours (8.30am-3.30pm approx) and mainly work within the classroom. The students will need support with involvement in activities as well as other additional care needs such as moving and transport around the building, personal care and potentially feeding or supervision during mealtimes.
The essential requirements for the role are;
A patient, non-judgemental and nurturing personality
Knowledge of or experience in special educational needs
Applicable, relevant experience (childcare, youth work, support work, classroom support, health and social care)
The ability to work school hours 8.30am-3.30pm
An enhanced, CHILD ONLY DBS registered to the update service (Teaching Personnel can direct you to apply for this)
Be able to supply 2 references from your most recent employers
