School Cleaner – Full Time | September Start

Location: DE1 
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Hours: 8 hours per day (30-minute break)
Days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
Pay: Based on experience


We are currently recruiting a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented School Cleaner to join a welcoming school environment starting this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant space for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, and communal areas

  • Disinfecting high-touch surfaces and maintaining hygiene standards

  • Managing waste disposal and replenishing supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.)

  • Reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly

  • Working in line with school safeguarding and health & safety policies

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Good timekeeping and attention to detail

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
