Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Graduate to join one of our client schools in Rotherham as a SEMH Teaching Assistant.

 

This position will start in April 2024 and is a full-time role.

The pay for this position is between £385 and £450 per week.

This position is highly important and will come will a lot of responsibility. The successful candidate with be working alongside students who have additional educational requirements. You must be fully aware of Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). You will be working 1:1 with individual students or with small groups of students to support them with their additional learning requirements.

 

Requirements

It is essential that you are a recent Graduate, looking to start a career in education.

You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and be able to provide at least two employment references.

 

Key responsibilities:

Supporting the students with their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).

Building relationships with the students to be able to support them in their development.

Monitoring the progression of the pupils, being able to give feedback to the pupils, the teachers, and their parents.

Being aware of all safeguarding procedures and dealing with any situations that may arise.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
