Residential Support Worker – Full Time – North Leeds

A specialist setting in North Leeds are seeking a full-time Residential Support Worker, commencing October 2020.

Our client is a residential and day school for pupils aged 4-19 with Hearing Impairments, many of whom have additional special educational needs. The school uses an oral approach to develop pupils' spoken and written language skills, and although experience using British Sign Language (BSL) or Sign Spoken English (SSE) would be an advantage, knowledge of sign language is not required for all posts.

The school caters for pupils with sensory impairments and communication difficulties, including Autism, and offers day placements as well as term-time weekly boarding from Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a caring, dynamic and committed residential care worker who will contribute to the school’s continuous drive for improvement, joining a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the very best life chances for all students.

The successful candidate will be required on a full-time basis, and you will be required to work in a shift pattern, including nights (weekdays, term-time only).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
