I am currently working closely with my client, an SEN School in the North West Kent location. The school is an Independent SEN residential school with charity status providing a therapeutically informed learning environment for children aged 10-19 who have suffered some form of trauma and are unable to access main stream education.

Position: Residential Support Worker

Hours: Term time only (39 weeks)

13:00pm – 11:30pm Monday – Thursday

10:30am – 16:30pm Every 3rd Friday

Pay: £9.25 – 11:25 per hour

Key Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Diploma in Childcare/Social Care Level 3 (desirable but not essential)

The school are looking to appoint a dynamic and committed Residential Support Worker to support School students in a residential environment with life skills, extra-curricular activities and day to day living, whilst working as a member of the care team and wider school team. An ability to teach, motivate and cultivate a positive and dynamic environment for our students is essential.

All Candidates Must:

  • Be able to commit to working the hours specified above
  • Provide a child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (£44) and then subscribe to the update service (£13)
  • Have no recent criminal convictions/cautions.
  • Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.
  • If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK a right to work visa (non-EU) and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more with in the past 5 years must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
