Support Worker - Term Time only

Permanent, Full Time

Hourly Rate: From £8.50 - 9.75, plus some unsocial hours pay depending on hours worked

We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to work with the professional team at our residential School, we are a large charity and community with a history of supporting people which dates back to 1908. Working for us can be hugely rewarding and fun, you will so much whilst supporting our students. The role can also be demanding and challenging so we are looking for motivated individuals ready for a new challenge.

You will will work 42 hours a week on a mixture of different shifts between 7am and 10.30pm.You will have a 2 week rolling rota and will work term time only. Your pay will be an annual salary paid monthly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping children communicate their needs to staff and others
  • Supporting children to access the curriculum
  • Helping pupils to access the wider community on day trips
  • Personal care support where required
  • Making learning fun and enjoyable
  • Evening trips and support
  • To follow all safeguarding policies

By carrying out these responsibilities well, you will be helping to provide the best possible quality of care for those who live at our school. You will also be helping to create a pleasant working environment for other people who work here.
