Due to an upcoming gap in their Humanities department, our client school have a need for a qualified RS teacher to join them in January for a temporary post.

- Join a supportive and established Humanities department

- Full time position, January 2018 start

- Temporary position initially, could extend beyond initial supply period

- Ofsted Good leadership and management

- RS teacher required to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4

Our client school is a large, well facilitated secondary school situated in Oldham, bordering the M60 motorway, with excellent public transport links from Manchester and surrounding LEAs. The school recently moved to a purpose built site after the schools two predecessors merged to pool resources and provisions to ensure the students in the local community could fully engage with education. In the most recent Ofsted inspection, the leadership and management was judged to be Good by Ofsted, with a clear directive paying dividends in recent successes.

The post is a temporary need starting in January, and is initially being offered as a full academic term placement, this will be subject to review towards the end of the placement. The post is ideal for any newly qualified RS teachers, and the school welcomes all levels of experience to apply for the post.

The ideal Religious Studies teacher will have;

- Previous experience teaching RS at Key Stage 3 and GCSE

- A PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Humanities

- A commitment to securing a long term position from January onwards
