Reception Teacher – Primary Schools | Barnsley & Sheffield
Are you a creative, nurturing, and enthusiastic teacher passionate about Early Years? We are recruiting a dedicated Reception Teacher to join welcoming primary schools across Barnsley and Sheffield.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape children’s first formal experiences of school and lay the foundation for lifelong learning.
The Role
As a Reception Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Support the development of children’s communication, language, literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Observe, assess, and track children’s progress to inform future learning.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in EYFS or early years settings.
- Strong knowledge of early learning and child development.
- A patient, nurturing, and creative approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
