A school in Manchester is looking for a Religious Studies teacher to join the staff on a temporary basis.
Requirements for this role:
- QTS.
- A degree (preferably in RE/or a related field)
- Experience in the delivery of lessons up to GCSE level.
The role will involve:
- Successfully delivering lessons up to GCSE.
- Managing student workloads, whilst implementing strategies designed to keep pupils engaged with the subject.
- Setting homework tasks that inspire students to think on an independent basis.
- Ensuring students are consistently adhering to school policy at all times.
- Managing any pastoral issues that may arise.
- Monitoring student progress within the subject, and applying interventions when necessary.
It is expected that the desired applicant will be competent in working closely with the school's students who have SEN. Additionally, it will be expected that the applicant wiil be able to work with students with specific EAL needs.
The school:
- Located close to Manchester city centre.
- Several public transport links located close by.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
