Trainee Education Recruitment Consultant - Swansea and West Wales

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Trainee Education Recruitment Consultant to join their expanding team in their Cardiff office. The role is working with Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across Swansea and West Wales so involves spending one/two days a week in Swansea and the rest of the week in our Cardiff city centre office. Due to this travel we require applicants to have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle. Mileage expenses will be paid. This role is likely to start later this year in June or September, but we're keen to speak with you now!

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Consultant at Teaching Personnel, you’re the vital link between our client schools and candidates. You will join a thriving team and will be responsible for building your candidate pool and school base across a local area.

You will:

  • Make a high volume of sales and business development calls to schools across your local area
  • Build and develop your own candidate database by sourcing and recruiting quality teachers and support staff and matching them to temporary and permanent job placements
  • Have regular face-to-face client visits to build relationships with key decision makers in schools in order to successfully service your client schools
  • Work to KPIs and targets in line with your branch and career ladder

Our dedicated Swansea and West Wales office opened in September 2019 and has grown at a rapid rate since then. We are looking to appoint a consultant to support the Branch Manager in servicing existing client schools, recruiting candidates and build new business across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

About You

You will be given opportunities to gain industry leading skills and experience. We have a specific career path for our Education Recruitment Consultants to progress. We review performance regularly and you may qualify for promotions up to 4 times per year. Our business is organic and almost all management started their career at Teaching Personnel as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant.

As part of the role involves visiting our schools which are spread out over a large geographical area, we do require consultants to have access to a car and a full driving licence.
