Job Title: Religious Education (RE) Teacher
Location: Hastings, East Sussex

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our committed team of educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring and guiding students in their exploration of religious and ethical principles, promoting tolerance, respect, and understanding of diverse beliefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages open discussions about different faiths and beliefs.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to religious and moral education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in religious studies and incorporate relevant changes into the curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Religious Studies or a related field.
- A deep understanding and appreciation of various religious traditions and ethical philosophies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience in teaching RE at the secondary level is preferred but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
