Are you a Teacher who is passionate about teaching the future generations about the values of religion in society? Do you want to use your skills to inspire children into learning about different religions and cultures? Have you got the ability to engage pupils in ethical discussions on what is right and wrong? If any of these apply to you, you could be our perfect RE Teacher!

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a highly competent Teacher of Religious Studies (RE Teacher) to join our partner school in the Durham area. The school in question is currently oversubscribed having underwent an educational renaissance which has led the school to be rated 'Good' by Ofsted and enjoying a fantastic reputation across the North East. The RE department are an integral force in the school, contributing hugely to the school environment through their positive teachings and embodiment of the school ethos.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have Teaching Experience at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being highly beneficial
  • Strong track record of positive results at GCSE
  • Enthusiastic about helping pupils understand different cultures and religions
  • Able to manage behaviour effectively to ensure high engagement levels
  • Plan, differentiate and deliver lessons so that all learners can access the learning
  • Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum
