A Roman Catholic secondary school based in Oldham is currently seeking a Catholic RE teacher to join their humanities department from January. This position will initially be until the end of the academic year but could have the potential to continue.

  • Full time Catholic R.E teacher post, January start
  • Get paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
  • Work in an Ofsted graded 'good' secondary school
  • Join a well established Humanities department with focus on professional development

"Due to a restructure in the Humanities department we are currently seeking a Catholic teacher of R.E to join our faculty on a full time basis from January. We are seeking someone with strong faith and a clear vision to make a positive difference to young people's educational experience. The incoming R.E teacher must consistently plan and deliver innovative and engaging lessons as they will be joining a well established Humanities department who are continually striving to become outstanding. As a department we welcome both newly qualified and experienced R.E teachers to apply for this post."

Our client school is a larger than average mixed 11-16 secondary school with over 1300 students currently on roll. The school is situated close to the M62 in Chadderton, Oldham and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Bury, Rochdale and central Manchester via public transport. With having an excellent reputation within the diverse local community a large proportion of students are from minority ethnic backgrounds and speak English as a second language. The school meets the government's floor standards, which set the minimum expectation for pupils' attainment and progress by the end of Year 11.
