TP Tutors is expanding across Southampton and is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 and small group tuition in Maths, English and Science.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver structured, subject-specific support that enables learners with additional needs to rebuild confidence and achieve measurable progress.

Role Details

Position: SEN Tutor – Core Subjects (Maths, English & Science)
Location: Southampton – learner homes and community settings
Hours: Flexible (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with EHCP targets

  • Provide targeted support in Maths, English and/or Science

  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs

  • Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and additional needs

  • Assess progress and provide regular updates to families and schools

  • Promote academic confidence and independent learning

Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Maths, English or Science

  • Background supporting children or young people with SEN

  • Knowledge of inclusive and adaptive teaching strategies

  • Strong safeguarding awareness

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
