Qualified Science Teacher (Chemistry Specialist) 

Location: Sutton Coldfield, Secondary School

Start date: Spring Term 2 

Pay Rate: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is looking for a passionate and qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join one of our partner secondary schools in the Sutton Coldfield area. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated educator who can confidently teach Chemistry up to A-Level and bring the subject to life in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry across KS3, KS4 and KS5

Teach Chemistry up to A-Level and support students in developing strong subject knowledge

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to support improvement

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations for all students

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community


 

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

Strong subject knowledge in Science with a specialism in Chemistry

Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting

Ability to teach Chemistry up to A-Level

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A passion for education and supporting student development

DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
