Psychology Teaching role - November 2019

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Psychology Teacher for a successful sixth-form college in North Tyneside. The successful Psychology Teacher will be joining a school with impressive results across the board. Ofsted rated this college “Good” with special praise of the quality of teaching and senior management team.

This teaching position is for an open vacancy starting from November, teaching Pscyhology full-time at an Access to Higher Education Level. This role may initially be part-time however, could turn permanent for the right teacher. This sixth-form has a supportive and dynamic department with great resources throughout.

Specific Details about the role:

  • Psychology teaching role at access to HE Level
  • Starting in November 2019 until July 2020 initally
  • Potential Permanent role
  • Full-time contract

  • 16-18 Sixth Form College
  • Rated 'Good' in most recent Ofsted observation
  • Outstanding resources throughout the College
  • School leadership is strong and focused on student and staff welfare
  • Located in North Tyneside with good transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas

In order to be considered for this role, the Psychology Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree with QTS
  • Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
  • NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police check
