We have excellent relationships with a range of Primary, Secondary and SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools based in Norfolk, who are looking to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistants.
Our fantastic programme has been designed to support aspiring teachers fulfil their potential, without the additional teacher training costs. We encourage all graduates to join the future teacher’s programme, to gain practical classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor. A perfect opportunity to test your suitability to the profession, before committing to initial teacher training.
We offer:
- A placement within a school for a minimum of one-term
- Shadowing and observations of teachers
- A mentor at the school, to support you through the programme as well as our specialist consultants here at Teaching Personnel
- The opportunity to plan lessons
- Work with small groups or 1:1
- Online support – 6 support packs with content aligned to Teacher Standards and Early Career Framework. The packs include useful documents and resources to support your role, reading materials and a badge upon completion of each pack!
To join Future Teachers, experience working in schools is not essential but you will need to demonstrate your ability to build relationships with colleagues, parents and pupils. The ability to manage behaviour, a busy timetable and cope under pressure is essential.
You will also be given the opportunity to gain a permanent contract with the school, through an introductory period with Teaching Personnel.
