Psychology Graduate – Primary School Teaching Assistant
Location: Widnes
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Psychology graduate to join a supportive primary school in Widnes as a Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in education and child development while making a real difference in pupils’ lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Psychology (or related field).
- Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive.
- Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential.
