Are you a recent Psychology Graduate who is seeking an introduction to their first Graduate Job?
Do you have experience supporting young people or would you be interested in taking a step into a career in education as a Psychology Graduate?
We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to help support a number of pupils with SEMH as well as assist those who show signs of challenging behaviour and may have been identified as being on the verge of being permanently excluded from mainstream education. You will be required to support these pupils on a 1:1 and a group basis, assisting them with any issues they may have and encouraging them to improve their engagement with the curriculum and adhere to the schools behaviour policy. This may also involve offering further support for example helping them with any learning related issues they have and supporting them within a classroom setting.
- Full time position working as a Psychology Graduate, supporting pupils on a 1:1 and group basis
- Opportunity to work in a number of schools in the Oldham area, as well as securing a long term position in a school local to yourself
- Paid a competitive wage in line with your experience and responsibilities (up to £70 a day)
- Access to further development and training opportunities through partner specialist training schools
Psychology graduates are proven to be successful in this role, especially supporting students that display challenging behaviour. Due to an increase in the number of permanent and temporary exclusions across the Oldham area, our client secondary schools are turning to alternative provisions for these students, with the view to keep them within mainstream education.
Alternatively, Graduates that are keen on a career in teaching will have the opportunity to work flexibly or on a full-time basis providing lesson cover in the absence of the main classroom teacher. This will be fully-supported by Teaching Personnel and by the partner schools that you will be placed in and is great experience for anyone considering a teacher training course in the future.
