Job description

Primary Tutor – Prestwich (M25)

Are you experienced in supporting primary-aged children with their learning? We are looking for enthusiastic tutors in the Prestwich (M25) area to provide 1:1 tuition for pupils who need extra support outside of mainstream classrooms.

Many of these learners may be struggling with core subjects, have gaps in their education, or require a more individualised approach. As a tutor, you’ll be helping them develop confidence, build knowledge in English and Maths, and re-engage with their learning in a positive way.

What makes this role different is the focus on quality over quantity. You’ll work with one pupil at a time, adapting your teaching to suit their level and needs, without the distractions of a busy classroom.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience working with children in a school or tuition setting

  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

  • A patient, supportive and creative approach to teaching

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

In return, you can expect competitive pay (£25–£30 per hour), flexible hours during the school day, and the chance to make a lasting impact on children’s education in your local area.

If you’re passionate about helping primary pupils in Prestwich (M25) succeed, apply today with your CV.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
