Catch-up Tutor
- Part-time/ Full time role
- April start
- Competitive rate of GBP20-GBP35 per hour
- Experienced in a school setting required
- Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 candidates required
The recent school closures have left students, on average, 3 months behind in their studies with over 44% of pupils requiring catch up tuition in the coming academic year. Owing to such, the government have allocated additional funding to support children in need of extra tuition. In light of these recent developments, Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with Primary Schools across Northamptonshire.
We are currently looking to place candidates in schools in the following areas:
- Central Northampton
- Wellingborough
- Rushden
- Corby
- Kettering
- Towcester
As a catch-up tutor, you would deliver pre-planned sessions on a 1:1 or small group basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role, a broad knowledge of the curriculum, and confident in implementing behavioural management policies. After such a long period away from the classroom, it can only be expected that some students will find it harder than others to return to school. The successful candidate should therefore be of a nurturing nature and prepared to assist children into their return to school life as much as possible.
Interested? Please apply or email an up to date CV to isabelle.jason@teachingpersonnel.com or call 01604 376814.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
