A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join its OUTSTANDING primary school in Hammersmith. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and supportive team committed to delivering exceptional education to young learners.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils in their academic and personal development. Responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, providing one-to-one and small group support, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Assist in the preparation of lesson materials and classroom resources.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage and support pupils’ social and emotional development.
  • Monitor and report on pupils’ progress to teachers.
  • Uphold the school’s values and policies, ensuring high standards of behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A passion for education and supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification) are desirable but not essential.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training will be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
