Priamry Teaching Assistant

  • Burnley Primary Schools
  • Part- time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 12:30
  • Competitive rates, GBP10-GBP12.50 per hour
  • Early mid-October start

Due to the current situation, Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting high calibre Teaching Assistants to work across all key stages in Burnley Primary Schools. Th role is part-time and due to commence early mid-October on an initially temporary basis, with the view to be made permanent.

You would be required to:

  • Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
  • Work across classes (approx. 28-31 pupils) to encourage a positive attitude to learning
  • Be able to work within year 1 supporting Phonics and speech/language development
  • Effectively support the preparation for year 2 SATS
  • Assist in the management of behaviour
  • Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide extra support where needed, specifically targeting maths, reading, and writing abilities

As an individual you must be reliable, hold a genuine passion for education, and be of a positive, enthusiastic nature. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
