Primary Teacher - KS2

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Teacher (with a UK QTS) to join KS2 in a Catholic Primary school in Cardiff to start September 2019.

The role will be full time ongoing supporting a class in KS2 (Y3-Y6) and will go permanent for the right candidate.

The school are looking for someone who -

  • The ability to inspire children to have a love of learning.
  • Someone who is able to support the Catholic ethos of the school
  • High expectations and a drive to raise standards.
  • Enthusiasm and a commitment to professional development.
  • Total dedication to the inclusion of all pupils.
  • High aspirations for developing pupil participation in the planning process of learning via a practical, hands-on, real life skills based curriculum.
  • A clear understanding of skills based curriculum, in particular the Literacy and Numeracy Framework.
  • The ability to teach Welsh as a second language.
  • The ability to contribute to the development and improvement of the school as a whole..
  • An understanding of teaching children with English as an additional language.
  • The ability to develop children to be reflective learners.
  • A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
