Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Now that all year groups in Primary schools in Wales are back in school, supply teachers are in high demand.

As well as short term supply cover we are also recruiting for long term roles such as maternity and PPA.

Supply teaching covers a range of needs, these include; Sickness, paternity, PPA, release time and NQT time.

We are looking for primary school supply teachers who have strong behaviour and class room management, good flexibility and ideally have full driving licence and access to own car (however this is not essential). Working on supply can be a great way to explore different schools and year groups across Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. As a supply teacher, you will be required to teach in Early Years, Foundation phase and KS2; however we will look to match the right year group with your preference and experience.

We offer a guaranteed work scheme to ensure all candidates are able to access work throughout the term. The scheme offers flexibility for supply and gives security of guaranteed income.

The teachers we are seeking to appoint will:

  • Have UK QTS (newly or fully qualified)
  • Have experience teaching for at least a year.
  • Be comfortable teaching across foundation phase and key stage two
  • Willing to go the extra mile in our schools
  • Have two excellent up to date references which reflect teaching ability
  • Have a child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to process a new one)
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Ideally be able to drive and have access to own car.

What we can offer:

  • Minimum GBP138.56 per day.
  • Regular / consistent and flexible supply assignments
  • Referral Bonuses GBP50 per referral*
  • Guaranteed Pay Scheme
  • Online Timesheet Portal
  • A dedicated personal consultant
  • Regular CPD courses.
  • Weekly symptom free self-certification app for agency staff.

TEACHING PERSONNEL are a recommended supplier of Agency Staff in Cardiff and are Approved by the Welsh Government Teacher Agency Framework. We proved exemplary vetting standards, candidate care, fair payment for staff and ethical practices to meet the criteria.

As a company we have worked alongside schools within the South Wales area for over 10 years. Developing these relationships has enabled us to ensure we have the pupil’s education and support at the forefront of every action.
