Year 1 Teacher – Full-Time Position in Old Trafford (Starting November)

Teaching Personnel is excited to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Old Trafford that is currently looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) is set to begin in November—perfect for a teacher eager to inspire young learners and contribute positively to a thriving school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 1 pupils
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and targeted support
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practice
  • Engage in continuous professional development and reflective teaching

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching in Year 1 or Key Stage 1
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching to meet a range of learning needs
  • Solid knowledge of the national curriculum and current teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident in using technology to support teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
