Year 1 Teacher – Full-Time

Location: Irlam
Start Date: September
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Irlam, who are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils at a crucial stage in their learning journey by delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing creative and engaging lessons
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
  • Contributing to wider school initiatives and ongoing CPD

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 1 experience desirable)
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is confident delivering lessons to mixed-ability groups
  • Has a solid understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Is comfortable using technology to enhance learning
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
