Primary School Teacher – Key Stage 1 (KS1)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chester from September 2026 until Easter 2027.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire young learners and support their academic, social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL requirements.
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, training and school events.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within EYFS or Key Stage 1.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting pupil achievement and wellbeing.
- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities.
Desirable
- Recent experience teaching Year 1 or Year 2.
- Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
- Knowledge of phonics programmes and early literacy development.

Primary School Teacher – Key Stage 2 (KS2)
We are recruiting a motivated and committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a successful primary school in Chester from September 2026 until Easter 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to make a positive impact within a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that promote high standards of learning and achievement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
- Deliver lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum in line with National Curriculum expectations.
- Support pupils in preparing for end-of-key-stage assessments where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistency and high standards across the school.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
- Uphold school policies relating to safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing.
