Primary SEN Class Teacher

The Headteacher and Governing Body of a large school in the heart of Preston are looking to secure a strong teacher to work specifically with SEN pupils in school from EYFS-KS2. The working hours for this role are to be confirmed - the school will be flexible on this for the right candidate.

This is a central Preston Primary School, the children in school arrive from varied catchment areas and the percentage of pupils with EAL is higher than average. The staff team is collectively made up a close knit, hard working and welcoming unit of Educational Professionals, all passionate about creating the best learning experience for each child.

This is a new role in school and the Headteacher is specifically looking for a practitioner who has worked in a specialist provision previously OR vast experience working alongside children with Special Educational Needs. This role is to transition pupils back into the classroom and maximise attainment.

The school are looking for a practitioner who has experience directing SEN support staff currently working alongside a number of pupils with varying needs across the school. The Headteacher of this Primary School holds an excellent reputation in the area and is committed to school improvement. As this is a brand new role in school there is the potential for a temp-perm contract.

Situated just 15 minutes from the motorway. The Headteacher of this school is supportive of the schools staff and this would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to take the next step in their career.
