Role: Part-time Year 5 Primary School Teacher (KS2)

Location: Blaenau Gwent

Pay: GBP127.72 - GBP184.47 per day (PAYE)

Sector: Welsh Medium

Start date: September 2020

 

The role

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Welsh Medium Primary School Teacher to teach a KS2 class in a school in Blaenau Gwent on a part-time basis. The school are looking for a Newly Qualified Teacher or Fully Qualified Teacher to release the Deputy Head 3 days a week from the Y5 class for non-contact time on a part-time basis.

Medium term planning will have been completed prior to starting and the Deputy Head will be present in the school to discuss plans on a weekly basis. The succesful candidate will be expected to complete light planning and use formative assessment on a daily basis.

 

NI, Pension & Holiday Pay Contributions

Pension: Teaching Personnel automatically enroll each candidate into NOW Pensions.

NI: 12.8% of your annual salary

Holiday Pay: Your agreed rate is inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay

 

About the school

The Primary School is situated near the village of Abertillery in Blaenau Gwent. There are 10 mixed-age classes, including two part-time nursery classes, at the school. Welsh is the main medium of language at the school. The school has a wide catchment area, and pupils come from all parts of the county.

 

To be considered for this role, you will need:

-A recognised Teaching qualification including QTS

-Are registered with the education workforce council

-Be confident in teaching ICT

-To be fluent in Welsh, communicating verbally and in writing to a high standard.

-To be eager to join a happy and vibrant KS2 Welsh Primary school.
