We are recruiting for a Primary Practitioner to work as a Tutor within a ‘Good’ Burnley Primary School from 12th April 2021. The Head and Deputy Head Teachers have stressed the importance of finding someone who is the right fit for the school and are therefore willing to consider Fully Qualified Teachers, Newly Qualified Teachers, HLTA’s and experience primary tutors. You would receive full training free of charge before undertaking the role but experience within a Primary School is essential, as are excellent references and a track record of supporting pupils to raise attainment. The school is of average size, located in the heart of Burnley and has a diverse catchment of pupils. The senior leadership team are strong, experienced, and positively implement an effective behavioural management policy. However, due to the catchment of pupils in school, some students may be considered disengaged with their learning, especially following on from COVID school closures. As these are some of the children the school wishes to focus upon, (others are below target for various other reasons), the school wishes to appoint someone capable of properly engaging and communicating with these children. The school are hoping to begin the tutoring w.c.12th April 2021 and are looking to run the sessions each afternoon on a 1:3 basis. The first-year groups to receive the tutoring will be years 5 and 6 with a focus upon reading and maths, dependent upon the success of the sessions, this may be extended across year groups and subjects. You will be paid GBP20 - GBP35 per hour dependent on your qualifications and experience. If you consider yourself to be a suitable candidate for this role, please email your CV to holly.madeley@teachingpersonel@teachingpersonnel.com for consideration, or call 01772 386242. |
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
