Primary School Intervention Teacher

Job description

A vacancy has arisen in an Ofsted graded 'GOOD' primary school for a qualified teacher with recent experience in Key Stage 1.

The school is looking to appoint an additional member of staff to deliver core-subject interventions and booster sessions to small groups of children with the aim to close the gap and raise attainment in preparation for the Key Stage 1 assessments (Phonics screening and KS1 SATs).

Start date: 1st September 2020   End date: 23rd July 2021

The position is full-time and the successful candidate will be expected to work 32.5 hours per week (8:30 – 15:30, Monday – Friday).

The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school based in Leyland. The school is an average-size primary school. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs is above the national average; as is the proportion of disadvantaged pupils within the school. 

The ideal candidate must hold Primary QTS, with recent experience of teaching in Years 1 or 2 and strong Phonics knowledge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
