Primary Teacher – Flexible Supply Cover
Location: Shepton Mallet, Somerset
Contract: Flexible supply work (with potential for longer-term opportunities)

The Role

Are you a dedicated and adaptable Primary Teacher looking for work that suits your lifestyle? We are seeking enthusiastic teachers to provide day-to-day and short-term cover across primary schools in Shepton Mallet. For the right person, this could open the door to a more consistent, longer-term role.

This is an excellent chance to broaden your experience across a variety of year groups, develop valuable connections within local schools, and demonstrate your teaching expertise – all while enjoying flexibility in your working week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

  • Step into different classrooms and ensure learning continues smoothly.

  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs.

  • Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and positivity to every setting.

  • Work collaboratively with pupils, staff, and parents.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

  • Recent classroom experience within a primary setting.

  • Strong classroom management and adaptability.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.

  • Availability to work flexibly, from one day a week to full-time.

  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
