Cover Teacher
Job description
We are looking for a flexible and dedicated Internal Cover Teacher to support across a SEMH setting with 11 classes. The successful candidate will cover:
-
Short-term absence (teachers off sick or unavailable)
-
PPA (planning, preparation & assessment) time cover
-
Development time (professional & staff development cover)
You will need to transition easily between classes, maintain continuity of learning, behaviour management in line with school policy, and ensure the high standards expected at Marchant-Holliday are upheld.

An independent special school for boys aged 5-13 with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and structured environment where pupils can achieve their full potential—academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)

Prior experience working with SEMH pupils is highly desirable
-
Ability to adapt quickly to different classes, learning needs, and classroom environments
-
Strong behavior management and communication skills
-
Reliable, professional, proactive and able to work independently when required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
