Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible PPA Cover Teacher to join our friendly primary schools in Tameside. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who want to broaden their classroom experience across a variety of year groups. The role offers great potential for long-term placements, as many of our temporary staff have successfully secured permanent positions in previous academic years for PPA roles. Schools across Tameside are seeking reliable professionals to provide high-quality PPA cover and support in different capacities, ensuring continuity of learning for pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 to provide effective PPA cover.
  • Adapt confidently to different classes and subjects, ensuring lessons are inclusive, stimulating, and appropriately differentiated.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and support staff to maintain continuity and consistency in pupils’ learning.
  • Promote a positive school ethos and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.
  • Occasionally take responsibility for planning and preparing resources for wider curriculum subjects you are teaching.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrate a proactive, adaptable approach to teaching. You’ll be skilled at building positive relationships with pupils and staff, and passionate about helping every child reach their full potential. Creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment are essential, ensuring that children of all abilities and needs receive high-quality learning experiences. We’re looking for a teacher who can respond confidently to changing plans and year group requirements across schools, while maintaining a professional and consistent standard of delivery.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
