About the school
A special needs school for children with profound and multiple (PMLD), Severe (SLD), Moderate (MLD) or complex learning difficulties. Some children have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs; others are statemented as being within the autistic spectrum. All of the young people have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) which is reviewed regularly.
The school provides for 160 children and students between the ages of 2 and 19 years.
About the role
As a Complex Needs Teacher, you will be required to teach small classes of no more than 7 pupils who have PMLD/SLD with complex learning difficulties and some physical needs. Due to their disabilities, you will be able to differentiate lesson plans to meet the students needs.
The school has a team of dedicated teaching assistants who provide fantastic support to you and the students.
We are able to consider candidates with full time, part time and flexible availability.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing continued support to children and someone who will be an enthusiastic member to their team. The role will include delivering an engaging curriculum and requires a versatile SEN Teacher who is creative and caring in their approach. The ideal Complex Needs Teacher will need to have previous experience working with low functioning and non-verbal students.
It is essential you have QTS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
