In connection with one of our partner schools in Gateshead, Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Physics specialist to join a highly successful department where a member of staff is going onto maternity leave until the Christmas 2020. The successful Teacher will join the department after the February half term and will be required to teach all sciences up to KS4, whilst there may be the opportunity to teach to KS5 depending on the candidate. 

About the Role:

  • Science Teacher role starting February 2020
  • Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience
  • Full time role on a temporary basis until Christmas 2020
  • Ofsted rated 'Good' School with a positive Science progress 8 score
  • Expectation to contribute to GCSE intervention sessions for lower attaining pupils
  • Earn up to GBP160 per day, depending on your experience and responsibilities

The successful Science Teacher will:

  • Be a Science graduate with QTS or equivalent
  • Have experience working as a Science Teacher in a secondary school
  • Create fun and engaging lessons that allow all pupils to access the curriculum
  • Be passionate about teaching Science and enthuse the children in your classes
  • Track record of achieving strong GCSE/A Level/Examination results
  • Willing to cooperate with the Science department to plan and develop schemes of work
  • Be able to commit to a full time role with guaranteed work until Christmas
