Physics Teacher - September

Large Secondary School in Glossop require a Physics teacher for September to fill a vacancy within Science department. This is a full time Science teaching position across KS3, KS4 with opportunities to teach A Level in the sixth form if desired. You will be teaching Science to students who are engaged in their learning and achieve just above national averages currently.

This post is initially on a term supply basis with the potential to earn a school based contract from January. The successful Scientist will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities in line with the Head of Science’s expectations. The school is situated in a leafy rural area and is a traditional mixed comprehensive, currently undergoing an exciting new build planned for the summer of 2018.

Currently the school are looking to move towards a Good grading in their Ofsted with plans in place from the Senior Leadership Team to ensure this is achieved. The school has low levels of pupils who use English as an additional language and average levels of pupils eligible for free school meals.

Situated in the SK13 post code the school has train stations within minutes of both sites and regular bus routes for those on public transport.

The school will be looking to see candidates prior to the summer holidays for interviews so you will need to be bale to attend to be successful. Suitable references, QTS in the UK and a DBS on the update service are essential requirement’s.
